I’m seeing a lot of posts about drinking and also about weight gain.
Those two things can be related…
Alcohol sales are up 22% since the lockdown started. Understandable.
I love a drink, but I also commit to enjoying it in balance because one of the most common things that I see inhibit people in their weight loss or fitness efforts is alcohol consumption.
Not only is alcohol contains more calories per gram than carbs and protein AND it’s often high in sugar or combined with sugary mixers.
Sure, it’s fun (in moderation) but let’s make informed choices and make sure we are enjoying in in modertaion.
Now, my point is NOT to ask you to eliminate alcohol from your life if it’s something you enjoy.
I wanted to share this cheat sheet with you so that you can make the best choices that are in line with your goals.
It’s so easy to forget about the sugar and calories we consume in beverages, so hopefully this serves as both a reminder and helps guide your choices. ☺
