Playing The Long Game

It’s easy to get discouraged in life. When things don’t go our way, when they don’t pan out as planned…

When we feel our progress isn’t quick enough, when we have one of those days… or weeks.

If the game is feeling too long – should you be playing it?

All too often we can get caught up in what we think we should be doing, instead of what lights us up.

We can fixate on the end goal at the expense of what we’re learning and who we’re becoming along the way.

I know how this feels.

Those times when your business seems to stall and you feel like giving up.

Those times you pick up an injury and you can’t train effectively and feel like you’re going backwards.

Those times you make the best laid plans and the result isn’t what you thought it would be at all.

We all get this. We all feel like giving up at times.

It can be a great signal to check in with yourself and ask, “Do I really want this?”

Because, if you do, you need to be in it for the long haul.

Whether it’s health, business, relationships… they all take investment. They all take time.

Also look at how you’re growing. Keep an eye on your end vision but remember to enjoy the journey, else what’s the point?

If you’re feeling tired, if you’re feel de-motivated, that’s okay. Use it to check in with what you really want and be brutally honest with yourself. You’re in this for you, no one else.

If your vision is worth going for, then review and reset, and start enjoying your life as the journey unfolds.
