Are You Investing In Yourself Enough?

Yesterday I spent the day at an event to broaden my knowledge, increase my contacts, inspire me and motivate me to do better.

While I was there I invested in more mentoring for more growth.

A BIG mistake I see a lot of guys in their 40s and 50s doing, is not doing this.

I’m not talking about treating yourself to a new shirt, watch, car, whatever to temporarily make you feel good. A holiday so you can forget about work (kind of) for a short while.

I’m talking about making solid investment in yourself.

It starts not with who you are but who do you want to be? This is a question you need to be asking yourself daily.

Too many of us sleepwalk our way through our lives focused on things that don’t really matter.

What matters is you and your experience during this short time on this planet.

So, how are you levelling up? How are you showing up? How are you working to find inner peace and make yourself happy? How are you shifting your beliefs to quieten the critic in your mind?

If you’re not doing this, you sure as hell should be.

Once you start you’ll notice everything else level up around you: your relationship. your confidence, your career, your money…

Now, investing doesn’t have to mean money – though that gives you skin in the game, focus and usually someone to lead you and support you.

But we also all have the most precious commodity – time.

We’re spending it anyway and it’s out of our control – so how are you using yours?

We all have the same hours in the day, some of those should be used for you, for your growth.

Of course when we invest money as well, we have extra incentive, accountability and it turbo charges are results – if we do the work.

I know it works for me. I know it works for my clients.

So where can you invest in yourself today to give you a better tomorrow?
