10 Reasons Routine Is Important
As you may have seen we upped sticks from London and moved to Ibiza over the weekend. We’re grateful and glad to be here, but one lesson is how much moving to a new place throws your routine out.
Which is why after only a couple of days settling in and finding our way around, we’re doubling down on or routines, and making sure they aligned with our goals.
Here’s why routine matters:
Gives you clear direction in life
Ensures you keep a focus on your goals and are taking action consistently towards them
Ensures you’re choosing the direction of your life — not others, not fate, not the media, etc.
Keeps you motivated
Builds discipline
Ensures you’re creating the life you want and that you’re getting what you want from it a
Makes you more efficient and saves time
Reduces stress by giving you perceived certainty
Gives us a sense of accomplishment
Allows us to plan and execute on those plans effectively
While it can be fun to live without direction in the short-term, in the long-term human beings are wired to need a purpose and direction. Building routines that map to our goals give a sense of direction and purpose to life.
All too often we can let ourselves drift into being at the whim of life, and become a passenger rather than a driver of our fate.
We have a greater chance of happiness and fulfillment following our own path and pursuing our own goals.
Goals give our lives direction, they also provide the motivation to get us through difficult times and choices.
Goals also serve as the destination for what we really want out of life. If we don’t have goals and the routines in place to support us in achieving them, then it is easy to become sidetracked by life and others.
If you want to step up and build the beliefs, habits and routines to achieve your goals in 2023 stay tuned, because we have something really special we’ll be announcing this week to fast-track your success.
