Want to know 5 simple ways you can easily drop body fat without exercising?
I’m going to share them with you but a caveat here is that, yes, of course you should be exercising as well, and in fact, if you do, you’ll get even better results.
If we just address dietary input though, do the following:
Cut out all processed and ultra processed food. Multiple studies show that “franken-food” bypasses our normal hormonal responses meaning were more likely to over eat food that’s already crammed with calories, additives, salt, sugar and chemicals, and that even without the calorific surplus it’s more likely to be stored by the body as fat.
Cut back on sugar. Watch out for hidden sugars- sugar is cheap and addictive making it an attractive bulker to add to foods. Anything over 21.5% sugar is classed as a high sugar food. Sugar is calorie dense, causes insulin spikes, is inflammatory to the body and brain, and surpasses our immune system.
Front load your carbs in the day. Aim to around 40 – 50% of your daily intake to be carbs but load them into breakfast and lunch, minimising them in the afternoon and evening. Your body has the opportunity to burn the energy rather than storing it. Studies show groups that front load carbs in the day have better weight loss results than those that load them late in the day.
Eat more lean protein. Protein triggers the hormone leptin, our satiety hormone, so we’ll feel fuller faster, it takes more calories to digest than carbohydrates and it’s an essential building block of muscle, Muscle is metabolically active, to the more we have, the more calories we burn even at rest.
Drink more water. Often we’ll confuse mild dehydration with food cravings. Aim for 2 litres of cold water a day to stay hydrated and lessen feelings of fatigue and hunger.
Do the above for two to three weeks and you will feel and see the difference.Of course there’s lot’s more you can be doing with your body, mind and hormones to turbo-charge these results and make the whole thing easier. This is what we coach our clients to do – if you want to know more get in touch,
