The Struggle Is Real…

“It’s easy for you, you can eat what you want and stay slim.”

I get why people think that, but it’s simply not true.

If I eat too much, and too much of the wrong kind of thing, I get fatter.
Listen, I would love to eat whatever I wanted all the time, but if I did I certainly wouldn’t stay slim.

It’s about finding a balance. A balance of healthy and nutritious food, eating the right things at the right time, and moving my body.

So that when I want to I can go for that double cheeseburger with fries and a beer and totally enjoy it.

You see this is where we get it wrong. It’s not one or the other. It’s not poached chicken breasts, boiled rice and workouts OR beer, pizza and belly rolls…

It’s about finding the balance that allows you to be your best and feel your best, and enjoy life as well.

So it’s not hard for me to eat well the majority of the time, to train most days, because it’s become an integral part of my lifestyle. Just like take-aways when I fancy them.

Is it easy for me? No, I’m the same as you. I’m not genetically gifted to stay slim, if I overeat consistently I get fat (always around my stomach too – so annoying).

The difference is, I’ve worked on making it easy for me by training my mindset, my habits, and my approach to nutrition and training to stay slim without making big sacrifices.

Me, I’m looking forward to a burger and a beer this weekend. How about you?
