Let me take a stab in the dark here, but it worked… for a while, but then it felt too restrictive/hard and life got in the way/ you had one of those “f**k it” moments and went back to your old ways?
Then what happened? You went back to where you were before or worse and blamed yourself.

I’m almost 50 and trust me, feast and famine, all in or nothing etc just does not work at this age.
Our hormonal makeup is different from when we were younger so we need different strategies.
Our metabolism is likely wrecked from decades of poor choices and yo-yo approaches.
So you’re NEVER going to keep off weight the you lose by taking these approaches.
The good news is that it is totally possible to do it with a different approach, and I would argue easier (though not “easy”) and very much more sustainable.
