Let’s talk self-belief & trust, the two are closely interlinked, you can’t have one without the other, yet all too often we find ourselves lacking, leading to disappointment.
However there are ways we can improve our self-belief and trust in ourselves.
You see, when you resolve to do something, whether or not you actually follow through can have a profound impact both now and in the future.
The sub-conscious is a tricky beast, and it’s always watching. It prefers the past of least resistance, meaning pulling you back to your old behaviours and habits.
It also likes to be right, so when you do slip back it can say, “Told you so!” When you don’t follow through your brain subtly begins to doubt you and your commitments.
It becomes easier to make and believe excuses.
It’s more likely that your ego will win, keeping you just where you are instead of progressing forward.
Here’s the interesting thing though…
If you stick to what you set out to do – lose weight, write a book, run a marathon – your brain starts to believe in you more and more.
Over time your sub-conscious comes on side as you create a new identity, and the path of least resistance becomes what you’re doing now.
Your mind will start giving you a hard time if you’re not moving towards your goals, if you’re not taking action aligned with your new identity.
It’s a process, it takes time, but it works.
Our clients make up their missed workouts, they adjust their eating after splurges, they commit to their mindset practices, because after a while it’s hard to NOT do it, than to do it.
So, would you prefer your mind to believe in you and support you with the right thoughts and beliefs?
Or will you train it to doubt you, almost inevitably keeping you stuck on big and challenging goals?
The choice is yours.
If you want to know how to train it to achieve your goals, then drop me a message and stay tuned, because we’ll be running a special free strategy session on December 29th to get you back on track post Christmas indulgence.
If you want in on that, message us.
