When you were in your 20s chances are you looked forward to weekend as a chance to let off steam, drink, party – and you had plenty of energy.
When you’re in your 40s and 50s maybe that energy has dissipated and you still look forward to drink, but to numb your stresses, and the thing you’re most looking forward to is relaxing.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with taking it easy at the weekend, BUT, do you have energy going into the weekend? Are you genuinely excited by what you have planned?
Or are you so fatigued that you’re more excited by the opportunity to do nothing?
Newsflash – if it’s the latter then there’s something wrong. This isn’t how your life is meant to be.
Yes we need to rest and recover, but we should also be embracing life.
I get it: your job is stressful, you’re knackered, motivation is low…
But you deserve more.
Isn’t it time to reclaim your energy? Your excitement for life?
What one thing can you commit to doing this weekend for you, that gives you joy?
