IMMUNE BOOSTING GOES MAINSTREAM

Great to see a medical doctor on breakfast time TV this morning (BBC1) talking about steps you could take to help boost your immune system.

He stated that there is lots of research that a healthy diet high in colourful fresh vegetables helps support the immune system, and that natural fibre (beans, legumes) aids a healthy gut biome, which supports you’re immune system too.

He highlighted zinc, magnesium and vitamin E as playing key roles in our immune system.

It’s great to see the stuff we coach our clients on making the mainstream.

We’d add that you want to ensure you’re also getting enough vitamin C and vitamin D, and just as importantly, minimising sugar in your diet, which is not only inflammatory in the body but has been shown to suppress our immune response.
