MIDLIFE VITAMINS!

As our hormones, stress levels and lifestyles shift and change at midlife, it’s helpful to know what supplements can help support your mental, physical and emotional health.

Here’s just a few as I don’t want to overwhelm you!

1️⃣Vitamin C

Vitamin C is water soluble meaning it flushes out of the body.

This means you can double down on it if you’re feeling a bit under the weather.

It’s excellent for the immune system and aids recovery.

2️⃣ Vitamin D3

Take Vitamin D3 to support the immune system, stabilise mood and increase bone health (without vitamin D, the body can’t absorb calcium).

Take a Vitamin D3 + Vitamin K2 combined supplement as the K2 helps ensure the calcium transported by the Vitamin D is absorbed into the bones.

3️⃣ Magnesium & Zinc

You can get them combined in one tablet.

Magnesium plays a role in maintaining a healthy metabolism, muscle health and helps promote good sleep.

Zinc supports the immune system and muscles.

4️⃣ Vitamins B6 & B12 – combined in one tablet.

B6 contributes to the production of serotonin, which contributes to mood stability and also stabilises blood sugar levels.

B12 is key for the formation of memory.

Decreased B12 can lead to fatigue, inflammation and low mood.

It’s also been associated with conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s.

5️⃣ Super Strength Omega 3s

Good for joints, lowers blood pressure, reduces the likelihood of heart attack or stroke.

It’s also good for anxiety and depression, can fight autoimmune diseases, reduce inflammation in the body, reduce fat in the liver and promote good skin, nails and eye health.

Omega-3s can also fight age-related mental decline and Alzheimer’s Disease.
