Tomorrow is the start of the final month of 2023. You’re probably already gearing up for Christmas, but pause for a moment…
It’s really beneficial to take some time to review your year. Don’t leave it to January but set some time aside in December to revisit 2023.
– What were your success?
– What were your failures?
– What have you learned?
– What goals did you set that you achieved?
– What goals did you set that you didn’t achieve?
– For both the above – why? And be brutally honest with yourself.
Success leaves clues.
Failure leaves clues.
Now think ahead.
When it comes to December 2024 where do you want to be in your life?
Who do you want to be?
Do you want to be celebrating all you’ve achieved, our regretting another year gone by where you didn’t hit your goals?
If you had unfinished business this year, use that sense of regret to motivate you to do better. You do not want to be in the same place in a years time, so make the changes you need to make.
Often the margins between success and failure are so fine, which means when you take time to look at your actions you’ll see the clues that will allow you to adjust course and do better next time.
Sorry, but New year’s resolutions aren’t worth crap.
Don’t settle for some goal you came up with in 2 minutes while you were in your cups.
Make your 2024 goals and resolutions now, with a clear head, with an eye on your performance, refine the margins and close the gap so that next year is better than this one.
You deserve it.
